Guided Marketing Associations (GMA's)

What exactly are "Guided Marketing Associations"? What types of entities are covered under the term 'GMA'?

That's a fair question and a good place to start.  We need a working definition of the term 'GMA'.

When you set out to define a thing there are two ways to go about it.  You can define it with words and descriptions or you can define it by example and demonstration.  To be clear, I'll try to do both, first explaining what they are and then demonstrating how they work.  In the process of seeing how they work you will have the opportunity to choose and receive a free product from one!

Here is the explanation in words:

The term "Guided Marketing Association" or "GMA" refers to that class of companies, groups or enterprises set up to help online entrepreneurs succeed by providing:

A. A continuing stream of marketable products and services,

B. Continual guidance as to how to successfully promote and sell these and

C. A competitive advantage for members by access to good products, needed information and low-cost essential Internet products, programs and services.

The key distinction here is the term "Guided".  Many online enterprises provide products and services at wholesale rates for resale.  Most stop there.  Some give promotional materials, sample sales letters, even webpage templates to help with the sales.  But these do not qualify as GMA's, because there is little or no training and support, no "Guidance".  Their customers buy the products at wholesale prices and from there they are on their own.

With wholesale suppliers or distributors there is no "Association" of their customers.  It is up to each of their customers to set up his own autoresponder, ad tracking service, domain name, website hosting, merchant account for accepting credit cards, etc.  Each must write his own sales copy, design and build his own website and arrange for his own personal product know-how and sales and marketing training.

A GMA company, on the other hand, in addition to providing products to sell, provides most or all of the services, training and support that its member/customers need to succeed.  There is an ongoing relationship.  Members pay a monthly fee.  For this fee they get access to a large number of products, with new "hot" products being added monthly.  Members receive product training and instruction as well as sales and marketing training and advice.

Essential services are provided to them without additional cost.  These services can include ad-trackers, autoresponders, payment processing and so forth.  The services provided can go all the way to providing sales letters, designing and setting up websites and providing domain name registration and hosting services.

Economies of scale help the GMA provide these services for members at low cost to the GMA.  The cost savings get passed along to members.  Frequently the new member discovers (as I did!) that his costs actually go down when he joins a good GMA!  The cost of his GMA membership can be less than what he was already paying for autoresponder, ad tracking and web hosting services alone!  And all of these were included with his membership!

Usually the products for sale are provided within the cost of the monthly membership, resulting in the members being able to keep 100% of their sales receipts.

There is an additional bonus for members.  We all need and buy certain information products, software, etc.  As a GMA member you suddenly find yourself like a kid set loose in his uncle’s candy store!  ALL those products are available to YOU!  As a member they are free to you just for the downloading!  And it is not cheap, giveaway semi-junk stuff!  It is first-class presentable, saleable, USEABLE merchandise!   WOW!  And actually using these products yourself helps you sell them to others!  It is part of your in-house product training!

Set up and operated right, GMA's are a good deal for all involved. Members get good products, good services, marketing support and "a track to run on".  GMA manager-owners get a steady income from monthly fees.  Everyone benefits!

All GMA's pay their members generous commissions for bringing in new members.  This way the GMA can continue to prosper and grow, providing more and better services for an expanding membership.  The members can generate a continuing income stream from their downlines.  In fact, some make the selling of new memberships their primary business.  Most try to bring in at least enough new members to pay their own monthly membership costs.

So there you have it.  GMA's:

Guided--  Product selection and acquisition, sales and marketingtraining, promotional methods, business development and guidance.

Marketing--  The idea is to efficiently convert high demand goods and services into cash income through marketing, promotion and sales.  (This is a basic way to make money on the Internet.)

Association--  Members and management working together in association over a continuous period of time with division of labor and specialization of activity for mutual benefit.

Sidebar Explanation:

Now, before we get to the demonstration, part, perhaps I had better clear up something about myself.  By now you are probably asking yourself, "Who is writing this?  What qualifies him to talk about GMA's?  And what's in it for HIM?  What is his 'axe to grind' and what is he trying to (or going to try to) sell me?"

Let me introduce myself.  My name is Jorge Chavez.  There is a brief bio at the end of this report.  I am an advocate of GMA's.  They seem to be an excellent way to get started making money on the Internet.  They have helped me, and they can help others, maybe including you!

I am currently a member of five different GMA's.  That is part of what qualifies me to tell you about them and the differences among them.  Please understand that I am not trying to "sell" you on any specific GMA.  My goal is just to inform you generically about how they work and how some are better than others.  I report, you decide.

Of course if it appears to you that GMA's can be useful to you, I will encourage you to sign up for one of those that I recommend, under my downline.  It costs you nothing extra and that way I would be able to personally help you get started.  Any GMA that I recommend has been selected, tested and tried out by me, personally, before recommending it to anyone. (If you can find a better one out there, please let me know!)   And, as an experienced user that you know, I can continue to be of assistance and benefit to you.

Being a member of 5 different GMA's means that I can be more or less objective about each one.  Being "inside" as a member means that I can get past the initial promo hype and see what they are REALLY like on the inside.  Being an experienced business analyst lets me make observations and comparisons and reach conclusions that could be useful to others.  That is what I am trying to share with you here... :-).

My 'axe to grind' is to investigate, select and promote good GMA's that will help you get started and make money on the internet.  In helping you I hope to build my own downline and build my list of aspiring Internet Entrepreneurs by offering a valuable and useful service.

Now for the demonstration:

Let's use Daily-Payday (D-P) for an example.  A D-P member does not need a website or extensive Internet knowledge.  All he needs is a computer, an Internet connection and a PayPal account.  D-P has its products already set up on websites to sell.  Members each receive sample ads and a special link to refer prospects to each product sale site.  If a prospect buys, D-P collects the payment and then deposits all of it, 100% of it, in the Paid Member's PayPal account.

[Please note that there are two classes of membership at D-P: Free and Paid.  You can join up as a Free member, at no charge to yourself.  Free members get a 50% commission.  Paid members get a 100% commission.]

So all the member has to do is to advertise the product site, using his link, and wait for money to show up in his account.  D-P makes the sale, collects the money and immediately deposits the full amount in the member's account.

As an example then, here is the link to the D-P site.  Click here to visit the site.  While you are there, sign up as a Free member.  That will let you in so that you can see the site and check out the products.  Here’s the link:

http://netincome123.com/go/to.pl?l=GMAD-P-Intro-917

Now, once you are inside the site as a Free Member, look around.   Read what they have to say.  Check out their rules, get the feel of the place.  Beginning to see how a GMA works?  Good!

Then click on “More Websites” just below the header to the page.  That will take you to the products section.  There are about 120 products listed there, with thumbnail pictures and descriptions of each, arranged 10 to a page.  You can click on the word “more” in the thumbnail of any product and be taken to the full sales page with all its details.  Each one of these products is part of the inventory of what members can sell.  The links to the pages are member-specific, to identify the referrer.  What you see on the sales page (after clicking on “more”) is what your customers would see if they clicked on your link to that page.

Now, go back to the thumbnail page.  Note that at the bottom right-hand corner of each page there is an arrow with the words, “Next page”.  Click there to go to the next page with 10 more products.  You will see that the next page has a similar arrow at the bottom, opposite the “Next page” arrow, reading “Previous page”.  Use these arrows to navigate through the list of available products.

Remember that I promised you a free product?  O.K.  Ready?  Here we go then.  You are now looking at the inventory.  You can have your choice of any product you see!  Select any one product there that you want, absolutely free!  (Except for the last two, which are not downloadable.)  Just look them over, pick out the one you want and write down the name, exactly as it appears in the bold blue header of the thumbnail describing it.  Don’t buy it there! You are a free member.  If you buy it you pay full price and get back half in commissions.  But since I am a paid member, I can download any product for free, and give it to you.

When you have picked out your free product, send me an e-mail with the exact name and I will download the product (if I don’t already have it on my hard drive! J) and set it up in a quick download page on one of my websites for you.  I will then e-mail you the download instructions so that you can download your free product.  O.K.?  Fair enough?  Give me 24 hours to get it set up.  (Yes,  I know that it only takes me a few minutes to actually set up the download, but who knows what I’ll be doing at the moment your e-mail arrives?!  It might take some time before I get to check my e-mail.)  You will know that your product download is ready when you receive the download instructions from me.

And so, you get your choice of a sample product (out of 120) for free, just for looking. And, you will have learned something of how the process works.

Thank you for sticking with me all this way!  Enjoy your free product!
